Hi... My name is Alex... and I'm addicted to blogging...

Kia ora koutou katoa! Hi everyone!

My name is Alex, a certain amount of fabulous people call me Allie - of which you are now welcome to do so as well. This is most likely one of the last blogs I will ever make. Isn't that what we all say each time we make a new blog? Well, this time, I'm quite sure. Mostly because this is the first time I can actually see myself using this for a long period of time - mostly because of my fabulously talented friend Tovah (who I often call Toes - if you want to do so you'll have to ask her!). Now, while we're on the subject of how fabulous Tovah really is - don't be surprised if you find some crazy vlogs or videos of us doing ridiculous things. Because in essence, that is what makes us the friends we are. We often find ourselves in ridiculous moments, thinking up extraordinary things, but never actually end up doing said things. I think this is why we decided to get this going. Because both of us want to spend more time together, and we also want to share our experiences in life with each other, and of course, ultimately through this blog, the world.

There are so many experiences the world has to offer, and I don't want to miss out on another one any longer! I am passionate about travelling - though I have yet to do any outside my beautiful New Zealand/Aotearoa. I love reading, singing and playing guitar. I grew up on the beaches on the west and east coasts of NZ and love being in our 'clean, green' environment (it would be clean and green if it weren't for the oil drilling and oil spills from the Rena!). I am a foodie. I love eating - always have. I attribute my love for food to my Nana who taught me how to eat, and how to bake from a very young age. I'm still building up my cooking repertoire and look forward to finding new recipes, restaurants, bars and bistro's, vineyards and bakeries that have fabulous food concepts and ideas.

For me, this blog is somewhere where Tovah and I can share our experiences with each other and ultimately with you, our readers. We want to hear your suggestions of new places to go to, and see, and experience. We are still new to this part of the country - even though Tovah is a lot more used to it from coming up here to see her Mum when she was younger. I'm still looking to find new places to go in Auckland, surrounding suburbs and throughout the country. I can't wait to go to Paris, (I'm French/Maori) and want to travel and eat my way through Europe! haha.

If you have any suggestions, please add them here. We look forward to hearing from you!

Arohanui,

Allie
